FAQ

How do you photograph weddings?

My aim at any wedding is to be as inconspicuous as possible. But to get the best shots! It's often a juggling act of being present and polite when needed, and then melting off into the background letting you and your guests enjoy the festivities.

I have been told its good to pick a style of wedding photography, but not being a fan of pigeon holes I mixed several and came up with my own. It's a mixture of Natural, Editorial and 'Reportage' with a little bit of formal thrown in for the group photos.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I am based in Somerset near Yeovil. But often shoot weddings through out Somerset, Dorset, Avon, Wiltshire & Devon. I have a few bookings further afield and am always happy to travel should the need arise.

When will we get our photos?

Normally within 4 to 6 weeks from the date of the wedding, subject to seasonal work loads it may take less, or a little more time.

You will receive a link to a client gallery hosted here on my site, it will be password protected. You can view and download some or all of the images right away.

Once I know you are happy with the final selection (yes there are options for a few edits in each package) then you can share the gallery with friends and family, and I will create and send you an engraved commemorative USB drive in a presentation case.

How many pictures will we receive?

The approximate number of images is indicated in the package details, but I do firmly believe in quality over quantity! It's easy to stand and blast off thousands of photos! A lot of the skill is in knowing when to shoot, and which ones to keep at the end!

How do you take payment?

I accept payment predominantly via Direct Bank transfer, but can accept PayPal and facilitate credit/debit card payments. I offer pre-payment instalment arrangements to help spread the cost of your wedding too.

When would we need to pay?

At the point of confirming your booking a deposit will be payable that is non refundable after 30 days. Other than that you can pay at any point as long as the balance is cleared no less than 8 weeks before the wedding. Anything paid over the deposit is refundable in full as long as the booking is cancelled more than 8 weeks before the service date.

What guarantees do you offer?

Each client is special, every wedding is unique. As such every job is quoted/invoiced and has a binding contract issued that guarantees you service on your wedding day even in the event that I am suddenly injured or ill! I have a backup network of photographers! I carry my own public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance to cover almost any situation I might need.
